 Austin |  7 visits |  Age Range: 18-70 |  Up to $850

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune hair loss disorder that results in patchy hair loss. The hair loss can range from small, well-defined bald patches to a complete loss of scalp and body hair. There are currently no approved topical treatments for this condition. If you have alopecia areata, and are frustrated with the lack of treatment options, consider participating in this study!

We are looking for participants who:
• Have alopecia areata, and have had it for at least 1 year
• Have patchy hair loss affecting between 40-75% of the scalp
• Are 18 to 70 years old
• Are willing to maintain their current hair style and care regimen for the duration of the study

This study is investigating a topical treatment for alopecia areata and has 7 visits. Total length of participation is up to 17 weeks. Study procedures will include blood draws, ECGS, and physician
assessments. There are optional skin biopsies. There is no cost to participate, and insurance is not required. Qualified participants will be under the care of a board-certified dermatologist and receive up to $850 compensation for time and travel.
